I know you have heard the saying, “If you don’t use it, you’ll lOse it.” Who hasn’t ever experienced a time when they were really good at something, then stopped doing it for a period of time, only to find out when they tried to resume what they were doing they were no longer as successful? This has happened to me more times then I would like to admit. For example, I used to be a pretty good painter in various mediums including acrylic, oil, and watercolor. I also use to be a pretty good public speaker. Then, as it often goes, life intervened and I no longer participated in these activities for a long time. When trying to resume these activities some ten years later, I discovered I was no longer as good as I once was. I felt discouraged and intimidated when trying to regain my ability to perform, but soon discovered that once I got “back on the horse,” as they say, that I was able to once again become successful at them. It didn’t happen overnight, and I am still not 100% where I would like to be, but I know with persistence and repetition that it will happen. It is something that I must continually work on in order to see the results that I want.
“If you don’t use it, you’ll lOse it,” holds true for many aspects of our lives. It definitely holds true for the situations that I just described. I am sure you can think of your own situations where it would also apply. When it comes to your health and wellness, this saying couldn’t be more on target, especially when it comes to using our “muscles.” Ch3ck out the article I wrote called, “What Are You Doing to Fight Sarcopenia?” You might first say to yourself, “I don’t think sarcopenia is a problem that I have.” But guess what? Sarcopenia is a problem that we all will have to some extent and all in good time! However, there is a lot we can do to minimize it or postpone it. The most important thing you can do is to “use” your muscles as God intended! But, if you are not working out your muscles as our Creator intended, then remember what I said above, “changes don’t occur overnight.” Whether or not you have w3ight to lOse, or you want to get your “muscles” and your body in tip-top shape---with persistence and repetition, it will happen! Don’t lOse your most valuable possession---your “health and wellness.”
To help you maintain and/or improve your “muscle mass,” and your ability to perform activities of daily living, I am offering a limited special on “The Original Xerotube® Training Multipak.” Make your purchase by October 15 th and email me that you are “using it---not losing it,” and I will reimburse you for the postage, and also throw in a copy of “Creating a Personalized Exercise Plan,” one of the weekly lessons that only members of the “Step-Power” W3ight Management Program receives. PLUS, don’t forget to ch3ck out the other books and fitness tools available, such as the Accusplit Eagle 170 pedometer that tracks not only your steps, but also the number of calories burned. When you purchase this pedometer, you will also get a complimentary copy of, the HealthSteps Rx Pedometer Activity Program. So, you have nothing to L οSE (except maybe w3ight), and everything to gain (muscle, & health & wellness), when you USE this special offer!
Stay tune for a special announcement and collaboration of HealthSteps Rx with a very well-known and well-respected medical doctor specializing in w3ight loss, in future issues of The Step-Power Weigh.

P.S. Like many of you, I have many members of my family and close friends who were displaced by Hurricane Katrina, including my mother who is temporarily living with us. In addition, there are also countless people also devastated by Hurricane Rita. Although the immediate danger is over, let’s continue to keep these people in our prayers as they struggle to rebuild their lives. If you haven’t already, or if you wish to make a donation to the American Red Cross, I have set up a banner on the homepage of my website for you to easily do so. God Bless You!
